Since our founding in 1973, Portland Valve (PV) has been a
contractor to
the US Navy and a major subcontractor to public and
private ship yards, Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP),
Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Regional Maintenance Centers
(RMCs), Defense Industry Supply Centers (DISCs), Original
Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Master Ship Repair
Contractors. For over 30 years Portland Valve products have been put to the test in every ocean
of the world, under the most severe conditions.
Portland Valve
products include valves,
actuators, components, sub-assemblies and fabrications,
which are primarily installed on U.S. Navy ships. PV also manufactures
products for Army systems and various commercial
applications including power generation, aircraft,
electronics, oil & gas and commercial shipbuilding industries.
With over 45,000 square feet of state-of-the-art
manufacturing facilities located in South Portland, Maine, Portland Valve has the ability to handle an abundance of
projects simultaneously.
Our capabilities include
close tolerance precision machining, testing, welding, fabrication,
service and refurbishments. With a full complement of
state-of-the-art CNC machinery we are able to manufacture
components up to 65 inches in diameter, from carbon steel to
specialty metals and alloys, including: Bronze, Inconel®,
Monel™, Stellite, Copper Nickel, and Titanium.
Portland Valve also has the capability to design and assist in
the development of high precision products for specific
customer applications in a wide variety of industries, with machining capability limits
that are next to none.
The Portland Valve Quality System, welding and
non-destructive testing are in accordance with military
standards and NAVSEA technical publications.
